Américo de Deus Rodrigues Tomás was a Portuguese Navy officer and politician who served as the 13th President of Portugal from 1958 to 1974.

Tatsuhiko Shibusawa was the pen name of Shibusawa Tatsuo, a novelist, art critic, and translator of French literature active during Shōwa period Japan. Shibusawa wrote many short stories and novels based on French literature and Japanese classics. His essays about black magic, demonology, and eroticism are also popular in Japan.

Ángel Infante Cruz was a popular Mexican actor and singer of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. He appeared in more than 120 films, 47 of which were great successes. In more than 30 films he appeared alongside his brother, the actor and singer Pedro Infante, who died in an aviation accident in 1957. Ángel Infante was known for having visited Cuba on eight occasions, and even having presented his pistols as a gift to Fidel Castro. His daughter is the TV actress Sonia Infante. He appeared in films such as The Two Orphans, Corner Stop, Women's Prison, Here Comes Martin Corona, My General's Women, Full Speed Ahead, What Has That Woman Done to You?, The Atomic Fireman, and Love for Sale.

Cláudio Abramo was a Brazilian journalist and author. Born to Vincenzo Abramo and Iole Scarmagnan, his siblings are Athos Abramo, the Trotskyst activist Fúlvio Abramo, Beatriz Abramo, the actress Lélia Abramo, Mário Abramo and the engraver Livio Abramo. He was married to Hilde Weber, a cartoonist, who gave him a son, Claudio Weber Abramo, current executive director of the organization Transparência Brasil and a famous oppositor to political corruption in Brazil. Later he married Radha Abramo, who gave him two daughters. He was also Perseu Abramo's uncle.

Sahak Karapetovich Karapetyan was an Armenian Physiologist and politician. Karapetyan served as the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic from 1947 to 1952.

Patrick George Troughton was an English actor. He was classically trained for the stage but became most widely known for his roles in television and film. His work included appearances in several fantasy, science fiction and horror films, but he became best known for his role as the second incarnation of the Doctor in the long-running British science-fiction television series Doctor Who, which he played from 1966 to 1969; he reprised the role in 1972-1973, 1983 and 1985.

Herbert Emil Schultze, was a German U-boat (submarine) commander of the Kriegsmarine. He commanded U-48 for eight patrols during the early part of the war, sinking 169,709 gross register tons (GRT) of shipping.

Thor Thorvaldsen was a Norwegian sailor and Olympic champion. He was born in Bamble and died in Bærum. He competed at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, where he received a gold medal in the dragon class as helmsman on the boat Pan.
