Sidney Robert Buchman was an American screenwriter and producer who worked on about 40 films from the late 1920s to the early 1970s. He received four Oscar nominations and won once for Best Screenplay for fantasy romantic comedy film Here Comes Mr. Jordan (1941) along with Seton I. Miller.

Robert Taschereau, was a lawyer who became the 11th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and who briefly served as acting Governor General of Canada following the death of Georges Vanier in 1967.

Czesława Gospodarek, known by her stage name Violetta Villas, was a Polish and international cabaret star, singer, actress, composer and songwriter.
