Mikheil Meskhi
Mikheil Meskhi was a Georgian footballer. Nicknamed the "Georgian Garrincha" for his dazzling wing play, he was a creative force on the left flank for the Soviet Union. He was invited by the World XI side via the USSR Football Federation who replied he was injured and couldn't play— he was not told of the invitation.

Digvijay Singh was an Indian politician from the state of Bihar, and an associate of George Fernandes of Janata Dal and later Samata Party. He represented Banka in the Lok Sabha a few times. He was elected to Rajya Sabha twice. He died on 24 June 2010 in London after suffering a brain haemorrhage.

Pierino Baffi
Pierino Baffi was an Italian professional road bicycle racer. In 1958 he won stages in all three of the Grand Tours, becoming the second cyclist to win stages in all three of the Grand Tours in the same year. As of 2016, this has only been repeated by Alessandro Petacchi in 2003. Baffi's son Adriano also became a professional cyclist.
