Maya Forbes is an American screenwriter and television producer. She made her debut as a film director with Infinitely Polar Bear (2014). Her other writing credits include the screenplay of The Rocker (2008) and many episodes of The Larry Sanders Show. She was a co-executive producer of The Larry Sanders Show in its later seasons and executive producer of the sitcom The Naked Truth.

Maya Pedersen-Bieri is a Swiss-Norwegian skeleton racer who has competed since 1995. She won the gold medal in the women's skeleton event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. She retired from the sport in 2010 before returning to compete for Norway in 2016, becoming at the oldest woman to start a World Cup race when she returned to the top level of skeleton in 2017. She is listed in the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation athlete registration system as Maya Pedersen.

Maya Petrovna Belenkaya is a former Soviet figure skater. With her partner Igor Moskvin, she became a three-time Soviet national champion (1952–1954).

Maya Alejandra Fernández Allende is a Chilean biologist, veterinarian and politician, a member of the Socialist Party of Chile (PS) who has been serving as Minister of National Defense of Chile since 11 March 2022. Since March 2018, she has served as a deputy of the Republic, representing the 10th district, Metropolitan Region. In her first legislative year, she presided over the Chamber of Deputies between March 2018 and March 2019.

Maja Sarihodžić, known by her stage name Maya Sar, is a Bosnian singer-songwriter. Sar represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Korake ti znam". Her debut album Krive riječi was released 1 June 2013.
