Marițica Bibescu, born Maria Văcărescu, also known as Marițica Ghica, was the Princess-consort of Wallachia between September 1845 and June 1848. A boyaress by birth, she belonged to the Văcărescu family. Her father Nicolae, her grandfather Ienăchiță and her uncle Alecu were politicians and professional writers; Marițica herself was an unpublished poet. She was orphaned as a child, but was looked after by her relatives and her family friends, including Prince Alexandru II Ghica and philanthropist Zoe Brâncoveanu. Described by period sources as exceptionally beautiful, if also vain and ambitious, she married in 1834 the Prince's brother, Spatharios Costache Ghica. Her adoptive clan, the Ghicas, remained the leading Wallachian family until late 1842, when Alexandru II was deposed by the Ottoman Empire.

Frances Elizabeth Allen was an American computer scientist and pioneer in the field of optimizing compilers. Allen was the first woman to become an IBM Fellow and in 2006 became the first woman to win the Turing Award. Her achievements include seminal work in compilers, program optimization, and parallelization. She worked for IBM from 1957 to 2002 and subsequently, was a Fellow Emerita.

Raymond Arthur Palmer was an American author and editor, best known as editor of Amazing Stories from 1938 through 1949, when he left publisher Ziff-Davis to publish and edit Fate Magazine, and eventually many other magazines and books through his own publishing houses, including Amherst Press and Palmer Publications. In addition to magazines such as Mystic, Search, and Flying Saucers, he published or republished numerous spiritualist books, including Oahspe: A New Bible, as well as several books related to flying saucers, including The Coming of the Saucers, co-written by Palmer with Kenneth Arnold. Palmer was also a prolific author of science fiction and fantasy stories, many of which were published under pseudonyms.

Michael John Kafka is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). After attending St. Rita of Cascia High School in Chicago, Illinois, he played college football for Northwestern, where he received second-team All-Big Ten Conference honors as a senior. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, and spent six seasons in the NFL as a journeyman quarterback. Kafka became the quarterbacks coach for the Chiefs in 2018, and Patrick Mahomes, the starting quarterback for the Chiefs, earned the NFL Most Valuable Player award that season. Kafka helped the team win Super Bowl LIV the following season.

Peter Chiarelli is a former Canadian ice hockey executive and former player. He is the former president of hockey operations and former general manager of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He also previously worked as a general manager with the Boston Bruins and won the Stanley Cup with them in 2011.

Andreas Weimann is an Austrian professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Championship club Bristol City and the Austrian national team. He has represented Austria at full international level. Weimann was signed by Aston Villa as a sixteen-year-old from Rapid Vienna and went on to make over 100 appearances in the Premier League before his transfer to Derby County. He joined Wolves on loan in January 2017 before joining Bristol City in July 2018.
