List of Famous people who died in 2020

Zouheïra Salem was a Tunisian singer. She was part of the same generation of singers as Naâma, Oulaya, and Safia Chamia. Her most famous song, Baja bled el mandara wa sabba, was a tribute to her hometown of Béja. She died on 27 December 2020 in Tunis.

Bernardino Lombao Sotuela was a Spanish athlete, businessman, television presenter and sports coach.

Jacques De Decker was a Belgian writer and author.

Luis Arce Gómez was a colonel in the Bolivian Army. In 1980 he backed the bloody coup that brought to power the General Luis García Meza. Arce served as García Meza's Minister of the Interior.

Alfred Harold Douglas Rogers was a Canadian Olympic competitor in judo, and the first Canadian to win an Olympic medal in the sport. He was an honoured member in the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame. His best results were a silver medal in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and gold medals at two Pan American Games, in 1965 and 1967. He was a student of Masahiko Kimura.

Gilles Lapouge was a French writer and journalist with the daily O Estado de S. Paulo. He won the 2007 Prix Femina Essai.

Conrad Roland was a German architect and pioneer of the construction of spacenets, which primarily are to be found as rope climbing frames on playgrounds. In 1978 he designed and constructed the biggest spacenet of the world until today, the Super Four Mast Spacenet, for the Federal Horticultural Show (BUGA).
