Antonio Suárez Vázquez was a professional road racing cyclist from Spain between 1956 and 1965. He is most famous for winning the overall title and the climbers classification at the 1959 Vuelta a España. In addition, Suarez won the points classification at the 1961 Vuelta and a career total of five stages at the Vuelta.

Graham Macdowall Maitland was an English rower who won the Silver Goblets at Henley Royal Regatta.

Isaac Gálvez López was a Spanish track and road racing cyclist who rode for Caisse d'Epargne-Illes Balears in the UCI ProTour. He died during the Six Days of Ghent cycling event in Belgium after colliding with Dimitri De Fauw and crashing against the railing. He died from internal bleeding. At the time of the accident he had only been married for three weeks. After this, De Fauw suffered from depression and he committed suicide on 6 November 2009.

Giuseppe Siri was an Italian Cardinal of the Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Genoa from 1946 to 1987, and was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 1953 by Pope Pius XII. He was a protege of Pope Pius XII. He was considered a likely candidate to succeed Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul I.

Johan Henrik Deuntzer was a Danish professor and politician who served as a member of the Liberal Venstre party until 1905 where he joined the Danish Social Liberal Party. He was Council President and Foreign Minister of Denmark from 1901 to 1905 as the leader of the Cabinet of Deuntzer.

John Charles Carney Jr. is an American politician who is the 74th governor of Delaware, serving since 2017. He is a member of the Democratic Party, and served as the U.S. Representative for Delaware's at-large congressional district from 2011 to 2017. Carney was also the 24th Lieutenant Governor of Delaware from 2001 to 2009 and served as Delaware's Secretary of Finance. He first unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for governor in 2008, losing to Jack Markell. He ran for governor again in 2016 and won, succeeding Markell, who was term-limited. He was reelected in 2020, defeating Republican Julianne Murray with 59.5% of the vote.
