He was a Liberal Member of Parliament from 1988 to 2010 and was one of eleven candidates for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada but dropped out of the race on August 14, 2006. He has been described in the media as a "right-of-centre, business friendly Liberal".

Matthew Doherty is an American actor.

Matthew Carroll is an Australian film and TV producer. He is best known for producing films since the early 1970s including Breaker Morant, Storm Boy and Sunday Too Far Away. Later, he went into television production, producing the television series G.P. for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). He was a principal in the production house Roadshow, Coote and Carroll which produced television shows for Australian and international audiences.

Masao Maruyama is a Japanese anime producer, the co-founder of Madhouse, founder of MAPPA and Studio M2. Born in Shiogama, Miyagi Prefecture, he is a 40-plus year veteran of the animation business.

Yasutaka Tashiro is a retired Japanese professional racing cyclist. After graduating from Josai University, Tashiro turned professional and rode in Europe and Asia, mostly for the Bridgestone Anchor team. He was twice national champion, and also represented Japan in the 2004 Summer Olympics. He retired in 2007. He is now an employee of Bridgestone.

Martin Štěpánek is a world class freediver and record-holder. From 1984 to 1997 he was a competitive monofin swimmer (finswimmer). Martin's academic background follows a degree in Forestry Engineering with advanced studies in Sports Biology at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. After moving to the United States he became USA Certified as a Deep Sea and Saturation Commercial Diver in May 1999. In 2000 Martin met Douglas Peterson, who went on to become his freediving coach and mentor, guiding him to his first World Record in July 2001. Since then, Martin continued to set freediving world records annually up to his retirement from competitive freediving in 2012. He is now recognized as one of the pioneers of modern freediving education.
