Boris Kidrič was a Slovene politician and revolutionary who was one of the chief organizers of the Slovene Partisans, the Slovene resistance against occupation by Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy after Operation Barbarossa in June 1941. He became the de facto leader of the Liberation Front of the Slovenian People. As such, he had a crucial role in the anti-Fascist liberation struggle in Slovenia between 1941 and 1945. After World War II he was, together with Edvard Kardelj, a leading Slovenian politician in communist Yugoslavia.

Gregory Thomas Garcia is an American television director, producer and writer. He is the creator/executive producer of several long-running sitcoms, including Yes, Dear, My Name Is Earl, The Guest Book, and Raising Hope. He has also worked for the series Family Matters and as a consulting producer on Family Guy. He developed two pilots for CBS for the 2013–14 season, one of which, The Millers, was picked up.

Joe Lutkenhaus, Ph.D, is a Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He received a B.S. in organic chemistry from Iowa state University and then a PhD in biochemistry for the University of California, Los Angeles. Following his PhD, Lutkenhaus pursued his postdoctoral studies with William Donachie at the University of Edinburgh and then continued at the University of Connecticut Health Science center. In 2002, Dr. Lutkenhaus became a fellow of the American Academy of Microbiology.

Serhii Volodymyrovych Cherniavskyi, or Serhiy Volodymyrovych Chernyavsʼkyy is a retired Ukrainian cyclist. He won a silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics and a world title in 2001 in the 4000 m team pursuit.
