Randon resides in a nursing home in Toulon, France. She is a Roman Catholic nun, having converted to Catholicism as a young adult, working as a governess, teacher and missionary before retiring at the age of 75. She became the oldest verified person in the world on 19 April 2022, following the death of Japan’s Kane Tanaka.
