Dmitri Vyacheslavovich Kvartalnov is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 112 games in the National Hockey League, all with the Boston Bruins. He had at least a point in his first 14 NHL games, which stood as the NHL record for longest point streak from the beginning of a career, until November 16, 2007, when Evgeni Malkin surpassed this milestone, scoring at least one point in each of his first 15 games. This streak lasted from October 8 to November 12, 1992 during which time he scored 12 goals and 10 assists.

Michael Tojner is an Austrian industrial entrepreneur, author, and professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Heinrich Fink was a German theologian, university professor and politician. In 1991 Fink was dismissed from Humboldt University of Berlin due to allegations against him being a former informer for the East German state security office, the Stasi. Fink denied the allegations.

Her seventh novel Ce que je sais de Vera Candida won the Prix Renaudot des lycéens (2009), the Prix France Télévisions (2009) and the Grand prix des lectrices de Elle (2010). She has had two books translated in English by Adriana Hunter, but Ovaldé's other titles are still available for interested publishers and translators.

Alexander Vasilyevich Gorbatov was a Russian and Soviet officer who served as an officer in the Imperial Russian Army during the First World War and as a Colonel-General in the Red Army during the Second World War, and was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. Following the war, Gorbatov served as a Soviet commandant in Soviet-occupied Germany and East Germany and ultimately retired as a four-star general at the rank of General of the Army. His acclaimed autobiography, entitled "Years off My Life" was published in 1964.

Ivan Cornelius Dias was an Indian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples from 2006 to 2011, Archbishop of Bombay from 1996 to 2006, and before that a papal diplomat in the Balkans, East Asia, and West Africa. He was elevated to the rank of cardinal in 2001.
