Big Freedia
Freddie Ross Jr., better known by her stage name Big Freedia, is an American rapper known for her work in the New Orleans genre of hip hop called bounce music. Freedia has been credited with helping popularize the genre, which was largely underground since developing in the early 1990s. Freedia identifies herself as a gay man and has stated that she does not care which pronoun is used to refer to her.

Randa Jarrar is an American writer and translator. Her first novel, the coming-of-age story A Map of Home (2008), won her the Hopwood Award, and an Arab-American Book Award. Since then she has published short stories, essays, and the collection, Him, Me, Muhammad Ali (2016). She teaches creative writing in an MFA program at California State University at Fresno. In 2018, Jarrar was the subject of news coverage when she tweeted her opinion of Barbara Bush on social media following Bush's death.
