Peter Doohan was an Australian tennis player who won three consecutive Australian Hard Court Championships singles titles, which remains an Open era record for that tournament. He won a further two singles titles at the South Australian Open in 1984 and San Louis Potisi tournament in Mexico in 1988. He also won five doubles titles during his career. The right-hander reached his highest Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles ranking of world No. 43 in August 1987.

Michael Spinks is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1977 to 1988. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the undisputed light heavyweight title from 1983 to 1985, and the lineal heavyweight title from 1985 to 1988. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the middleweight division at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

Maurice Roy Hurst Jr. is an American football defensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Michigan.

David Clarkson is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently under contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL) and is the head coach for the U16 Colorado Thunderbirds ice hockey team in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League. Clarkson was a member of the 2003 Memorial Cup-winning Kitchener Rangers.

Stefano Salvatori was an Italian professional footballer. A tenacious, physically strong, and hard-working player, known for his energetic and tough-tackling style of play, he usually played as a central midfielder, but was also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, as a full-back or centre-back. He played for several clubs in his homeland, including Parma, Fiorentina, Milan and Atalanta, and the Scottish club Heart of Midlothian. Salvatori also represented Italy in under-21 and B international matches.

He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Yankees, Houston Astros, Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals,San Francisco Giants, and Atlanta Braves. Melancon was an MLB All-Star in 2013, 2015 and 2016. He made his MLB debut in 2009. He led the National League in saves in 2015, and won the Trevor Hoffman Award that year. He is a three-time All-Star.
