Attiyat Al-Abnudi
Ateyyat El Abnoudy, also known as Ateyyat Awad Mahmoud Khalil, was an Egyptian journalist, lawyer, actress, producer, and movie director. She was born in a small village along the Nile Delta in Egypt. El-Abnoudy was considered to be one of the pioneering Arab female movie directors as her films inspired the works of many Arab women in the industry. She has been called the "poor people's filmmaker" due to the subject matter that inspired her to make films, including civil rights issues and the condition of impoverished Arabs.
Hamdy Ahmed
Hamdy Ahmed Mohamed Khalifa was an Egyptian actor. He is known for his role as Mahjoub Abdel Dayem in the film Cairo 30 (1966). Ahmed was a parliamentary representative for the district of Bulaq at the time of the forcible relocation of the population of that quarter to public housing in the az-Zawiya al-Hamra district in the periphery of Cairo. He was a member of the Labour Party of Egypt, but left it in 1984. Since 1998 Ahmed has been a columnist for the newspaper Elosboa (الأسبوع).

Philip John Noel-Baker, Baron Noel-Baker,, born Philip John Baker, was a British politician, diplomat, academic, amateur athlete, and renowned campaigner for disarmament. He carried the British team flag and won a silver medal for the 1500m at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1959.

André Chénier
André Marie Chénier was a French poet of Greek and Franco-Levantine origin, associated with the events of the French Revolution of which he was a victim. His sensual, emotive poetry marks him as one of the precursors of the Romantic movement. His career was brought to an abrupt end when he was guillotined for supposed "crimes against the state", just three days before the end of the Reign of Terror. Chénier's life has been the subject of Umberto Giordano's opera Andrea Chénier and other works of art.
