Jon Lech Johansen, also known as DVD Jon, is a Norwegian programmer who has worked on reverse engineering data formats. He wrote the DeCSS software, which decodes the Content Scramble System used for DVD licensing enforcement. Johansen is a self-trained software engineer, who quit high school during his first year to spend more time with the DeCSS case. He moved to the United States and worked as a software engineer from October 2005 until November 2006. He then moved to Norway but moved back to the United States in June 2007.

Gustav Philipp Koerner, also spelled Gustave or Gustavus Koerner was a revolutionary, journalist, lawyer, politician, judge, and statesman in Illinois and Germany and a Colonel of the U.S. Army who was a confessed enemy of slavery. He married on 17 June 1836 in Belleville Sophia Dorothea Engelmann, they had 9 children. He belonged to the co-founders and was one of the first members of the Grand Old Party; and he was a close confidant of Abraham Lincoln and his wife Mary Todd and had an essential role in his nomination and election for president in 1860.

Juliane Bogner-Strauß, is an Austrian molecular biologist, biochemist, and politician in the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since October 2013 she is Associate Professor at the Institute of Biochemistry of Graz University of Technology. From 18 December 2017 she was Federal Minister for Families and Youth of the Republic of Austria, since 8 January 2018 she is Federal Minister for Women, Families and Youth in the Federal Chancellery. Since 9 July 2018, she is the Federal Minister for Sustainability and Tourism.
