Pamela Marie Hupp is an American woman who in 2016 murdered Louis Gumpenberger in her home in O'Fallon, Missouri, a crime for which she is serving a life sentence. The O'Fallon Police Department believe Hupp murdered Gumpenberger as part of a plot to implicate Russ Faria in the 2011 murder of his wife, Betsy Faria, a crime for which he was convicted in 2013, in part due to testimony from Hupp, and subsequently exonerated in 2015 after evidence implicating Hupp as the perpetrator of the murder was permitted to be submitted. The murder of Betsy Faria has never been solved; the investigation was reopened in June 2019. Hupp has also been investigated in connection with the 2013 death of her mother, Shirley Neumann, which was originally judged to be an accident before being changed to "undetermined" in November 2017.

Friedrich Alfred Krupp was a German steel manufacturer and head of the company Krupp. He was the son of Alfred Krupp and inherited the family business when his father died in 1887. Whereas his father had largely supplied iron and steel, Friedrich shifted his company's production back to arms manufacturing. Friedrich greatly expanded Krupp and acquired the Germaniawerft in 1896 which gave him control of warship manufacturing in Germany. He oversaw the development of nickel steel, U-boats, the diesel engine, and much more. He is suspected of committing suicide in 1902 after being accused of homosexuality. His daughter Bertha inherited the company.

Uwe Krupp

Uwe Gerd Krupp is a German former professional hockey defenceman and former coach of the German national ice hockey team. Widely considered one of the greatest German players of all time, he was the first German-born player to win the Stanley Cup, and the second German-born professional to play in an NHL All-Star Game, after Walt Tkaczuk. Following Tkaczuk, Krupp was only the second German-born player to have a lasting career in the National Hockey League although, unlike Tkaczuk, Krupp spent his formative years in Germany, and arrived in North America as a young but experienced professional.
