Antoine Faivre was a French scholar of Western esotericism. He played a major role in the founding of the discipline as a scholarly field of study, and he was the first-ever person to be appointed to an academic chair in the discipline. Together with Roland Edighoffer he founded the predecessor to the journal Aries in 1983, which in 2001 was relaunched with Wouter Hanegraaff as its editor.

Pedro Bastidas was a Venezuelan politician. A member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, he served as Mayor of the Girardot Municipality from 2008 to 2021 and was on the Consejo Legislativo del estado Aragua from 2004 to 2008. He also worked as an agricultural technician and held a degree in market research. He died of COVID-19 on 19 April 2021, at the age of 45.

Philippe Vignolo, known as Philousports was a French internet personality. He was best known for his GIFs and sports commentary on Twitter since April 2011, where he had over 260,000 followers. He suffered from myopathy and had been using a wheelchair since the age of nine.
