JaJuan Latroy Dawson was a wide receiver in the NFL from 2000 to 2002. He played for the Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans. He was drafted by the Browns in the 3rd Round of the 2000 NFL Draft with the 79th overall pick.

Everett Joseph "Vic" Firth was an American musician and the founder of Vic Firth Company, a company that makes percussion sticks and mallets.

Chuang Chu Yu-nu was a philanthropist in Taiwan, who was called "the patron saint of poor people". She was known for selling her "10-dollar buffet", and was given the nickname "Ten Dollar Grandma" (十元阿媽) or "Ten Dollar Bento Grandma" (十元便當阿媽).

Stéphane Charbonnier, better known as Charb, was a French satirical caricaturist and journalist. He was assassinated by Islamic terrorists during the Charlie Hebdo shooting on 7 January 2015.

Rolf Bossi was a German criminal defense lawyer. He was known for defending prominent actors such as Ingrid van Bergen and Romy Schneider, as well as criminals such as Jürgen Bartsch, Dieter Zlof, and Dieter Degowski. He defended four former East German border guards who were accused of having killed Chris Gueffroy, who was trying to escape over the Berlin wall. He was considered to be one of Germany's best-known defense lawyers. He wrote an autobiography, appeared in talk shows and even had two film roles.

Johanna Maria Quandt was a business woman and the widow of German industrialist Herbert Quandt, who resurrected BMW from bankruptcy. When she died in 2015 she was the 8th richest person in Germany, 77th richest person in the world, and the 11th richest woman worldwide according to Forbes.

Grace Lee Boggs was an American author, social activist, philosopher, and feminist. She is known for her years of political collaboration with C. L. R. James and Raya Dunayevskaya in the 1940s and 1950s. In the 1960s she and James Boggs, her husband of some forty years, took their own political direction. By 1998, she had written four books, including an autobiography. In 2011, still active at the age of 95, she wrote a fifth book, The Next American Revolution: Sustainable Activism for the Twenty-First Century, with Scott Kurashige and published by the University of California Press. She is regarded as a key figure in the Asian American Movement.

Natalia Strelchenko was a Norwegian concert pianist of Russian origin. She died shortly after being found by police officers at her home at Newton Heath in Manchester, England on 30 August 2015. A post mortem indicated that she had died of head and neck injuries.

Andriy "Kuzma" Kuzmenko was a Ukrainian singer, poet, writer, TV presenter, producer and actor. He was best known as the lead singer of the Ukrainian rock band Skryabin, founded in 1989. He died in a traffic collision on 2 February 2015 in Lozuvatka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, aged 46.
