Chakradhar "Chakri" Gilla was an Indian music composer and singer in Tollywood films. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu for Satyam (2003).

Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine was an Egyptian film and television actress. She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen". Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine Image. She was discovered by director Mahmoud Zulficar, her future husband. Mariam Fakhr Eddine's first film appearance was in the 1951 film A Night of Love and she went on to appear in the films The Murderous Suspicion (1953), Devil of the Sahara (1954), The Love Message (1954) and A Window on Paradise (1954).

Anatoly Borisovich Kuznetsov was a Soviet and Russian actor, best known for his role of the Red Army soldier Fyodor Sukhov in White Sun of the Desert (1970). His cousin Mikhail was also an actor. Anatoly Kuznestov was named as People's Artist of the RSFSR in 1979. He lived and worked in Moscow.

Jacques Chancel, was a French journalist and writer. He was known for being the radio host of Radioscopie and Le Grand Échiquier for 22 years. Chancel was born in Ayzac-Ost, France.

Isaac Sidney Caesar was an American comic actor and writer, best known for two pioneering 1950s live television series: Your Show of Shows, which was a 90-minute weekly show watched by 60 million people, and its successor, Caesar's Hour, both of which influenced later generations of comedians. Your Show of Shows and its cast received seven Emmy nominations between the years 1953 and 1954 and tallied two wins. He also acted in movies; he played Coach Calhoun in Grease (1978) and its sequel Grease 2 (1982) and appeared in the films It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), Silent Movie (1976), History of the World, Part I (1981), Cannonball Run II (1984), and Vegas Vacation (1997).

José Emilio Pacheco Berny audio (help·info) was a Mexican poet, essayist, novelist and short story writer. He is regarded as one of the major Mexican poets of the second half of the 20th century. The Berlin International Literature Festival has praised him as "one of the most significant contemporary Latin American poets". In 2009 he was awarded the Cervantes Prize for his literary oeuvre.

Sir Run Run Shaw, also known as Shao Yifu and Siu Yat-fu, was a Hong Kong entertainment mogul and philanthropist. He was one of the most influential figures in the Asian entertainment industry. He founded the Shaw Brothers Studio, one of the largest film production companies in Hong Kong, and TVB, the dominant television company in Hong Kong.

Rico Omarr Harris is an American former professional basketball player. A high school standout in his native Southern California, he later led Los Angeles City College (LACC) to its first state junior college title in 1997. After his college career, he played for some International Basketball League teams, and later with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Hashim Khan was a squash player from Pakistan. He won the British Open Squash Championships a total of seven times, from 1951 to 1956, and then again in 1958. Khan was the patriarch of the Khan squash family, which dominated the sport from the 1950s through the 1980s.

James McNair, known by his stage names Jimmy Mack and Uncle Jimmy Mack, was an American comedian and writer.
