Mariam Mohamed Fakhr Eddine was an Egyptian film and television actress. She was nicknamed the "Beauty of the Screen". Before pursuing a career in acting, she won the title of Most Beautiful Face in a pageant organised by the French-language magazine Image. She was discovered by director Mahmoud Zulficar, her future husband. Mariam Fakhr Eddine's first film appearance was in the 1951 film A Night of Love and she went on to appear in the films The Murderous Suspicion (1953), Devil of the Sahara (1954), The Love Message (1954) and A Window on Paradise (1954).

Youssef Abdallah Wahbi Qotb was an Egyptian stage and film actor and director, a leading star of the 1930s and 1940s and one of the most prominent Egyptian stage actors of any era, who also served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival in 1946. He was born to a high state official in Egypt but renounced his family's wealth and traveled to Rome in the 1920s to study theatre. Besides his stage work, he acted in about 50 films, starting with Awlad al-Zawat to "Iskanderiya... lih?".

Mohamed Abdelwahab was an Egyptian footballer. He played in the defensive left back position. He was an important part of the Egyptian squad that went on to win the 2006 African Cup of Nations. He died during training with his club El Ahly on 31 August 2006.

Yousef Waly was an Egyptian politician who served as Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation from 1982 to 2004. Wali was not married but he's a godfather and uncle to three siblings, Amin Waly, Hoda Waly and Sherif Waly the youngest, who became later a Senator and a leader in the National Democratic Party (NDP).

Sayed Abdel Hafeez is an Egyptian former footballer. Sayed played as a right midfielder for Egypt's Al Ahly as well as the Egypt national team. After his retirement, he became Al Ahly's director of football. He was reappointed to the role in November 2018.

Zakariyya Ahmad was an Egyptian musician and composer. He mainly sang religious songs as a member of several groups from 1919 to 1929, having studied recitation of the Qur'an under the well-known Egyptian Quranic reciter Mohamed Salama. He became well-known, however, when he expanded his repertory into popular music, especially those expressing patriotism for the new nation-state of modern Egypt.
