Leonard Patrick O'Connor Wibberley, who also published under the name Patrick O'Connor, among others, was a prolific and versatile Irish author who spent most of his life in the United States. Wibberley, who published more than 100 books, is perhaps best known for five satirical novels about an imaginary country Grand Fenwick, particularly The Mouse That Roared (1955).

Antonio Samorè was an Italian Cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 1967.

Raymond Perry Ahlquist was an American pharmacist and pharmacologist. He published seminal work in 1948 that divided adrenoceptors into α- and β-adrenoceptor subtypes. Bronisław Kaper was a Polish film composer who scored films and musical theater in Germany, France, and the USA. The American immigration authorities misspelled his name as Bronislau Kaper. He was also variously credited as Bronislaw Kaper, Bronislaw Kapper, Benjamin Kapper, and Edward Kane.

Tadeusz Gwiazdowski was a Polish actor. He appeared in more than 30 films and television shows between 1956 and 1981.
