Stanley Black OBE was an English bandleader, composer, conductor, arranger and pianist. He wrote and arranged many film scores, recording prolifically for the Decca label. Beginning with jazz collaborations with American musicians such as Coleman Hawkins and Benny Carter during the 1930s, he moved into arranging and recording in the Latin American music style and also won awards for his classical conducting.

Al Ruscio was an American character actor who appeared in numerous television shows and films.

Olena Ivanivna Kazymyrchak-Polonska was a Ukrainian astronomer and member of the International Astronomical Union, who studied the motion of comets and their orbital evolution. Asteroid 2006 Polonskaya was named in her honor.

Edward Kilenyi, Jr. was a classical pianist. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 7, 1910. Kilenyi, Jr. studied in Hungary with the composer/pianist Ernő Dohnányi at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, earning a diploma in 1930. He later became a Professor of Music at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida in 1953, four years after Dohnanyi began teaching there. He died on January 6, 2000. A collection of recordings of his concerts is located at the International Piano Archives at the University of Maryland (IPAM).

Ángel Suquía Goicoechea was a Spanish Catholic Cardinal who served as archbishop of Madrid from 1983 until 1994.
