Renata Mauro was a popular Italian television presenter for RAI. Born in Milan, she became known to international audiences for hosting game show Jeux Sans Frontieres and also the Eurovision Song Contest when it was staged in Italy in the Italian city of Naples in 1965.

Teruo Chinen was a prominent Japanese master of Gōjū-ryū Karate. He founded the Jundokan International karate organization and held the title of Shihan. Chinen held the rank of 7th dan in karate.

Ross Bass was an American florist, postmaster, Congressman and United States Senator from Tennessee.

Roberto Nicolosi was an Italian jazz double-bassist and leader born in Genoa.

Tino Sabbadini was a French professional road bicycle racer. He won the fourth stage of the 1958 Tour de France.

Miria Contreras was Salvador Allende's mistress and secretary. She was born in Taltal, Chile. After the coup that ousted Allende as president of Cuba she received politicial asylum in Cuba. She and Beatriz Allende, the president's daughter, were close confidantes of Allende. Her son was detained and killed.
