He married Lady Isabella Rachel Stanhope, youngest daughter of William Stanhope, 11th Earl of Harrington, and his third wife Priscilla Margaret Cubitt, herself granddaughter of the 2nd Baron Ashcombe, on 21 October 1994.

Sergey Nikolayevich Yastrebov, is a Russian politician, who is currently the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russia since 23 January 2017. He served as the 3rd Governor of the Yaroslavl Oblast from 2012 to 2016.
