Chittenden Lyon was an American businessman and politician from Kentucky. He was most notable for his service as a United States Representative from 1827 to 1833.

Shyamal Chakraborty was an Indian politician and was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 2008 to 2014 from West Bengal.

Robert Reinick was a German painter and poet, associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting. One of his poems, Dem Vaterland, was set to music by Hugo Wolf. He wrote the libretto to Schumann's opera Genoveva.

Edwin York Bowen was an English composer and pianist. Bowen's musical career spanned more than fifty years during which time he wrote over 160 works. As well as being a pianist and composer, Bowen was a talented conductor, organist, violist and horn player. Despite achieving considerable success during his lifetime, many of the composer's works remained unpublished and unperformed until after his death in 1961. Bowen's compositional style is widely considered as ‘Romantic’ and his works are often characterized by their rich harmonic language. He was one of the most notable English composers of piano music of his time.

Kumiko Sato , née Kumiko Okawa is a Japanese figure skating coach and former competitor. She is the 1968 Winter Universiade champion and a two-time Japan national champion. She represented Japan twice at the Winter Olympics, in 1964 and 1968. Her best finish at the World Championships was 5th, which she obtained in 1967 and 1968.
