Di Renjie, courtesy name Huaiying (懷英), formally Duke Wenhui of Liang (梁文惠公), was an official of Tang and Zhou dynasties, twice serving as chancellor during the reign of Wu Zetian. He was one of the most celebrated officials of Wu Zetian's reign.

The Zhangxian Mingsu Empress (969–1033), née Liu (劉), was an empress of the Song dynasty, married to the Emperor Zhenzong. She served as de facto Co-ruler and regent of China during the illness of Emperor Zhenzong from 1020 until 1022, and then officially as regent and Co-ruler during the minority of Emperor Renzong from 1022 until her own death in 1033. As a regent she became the second woman in Chinese history to wear the imperial robe, after Wu Zetian, the only empress regnant in Chinese history.

Gao Fu, also known as George Fu Gao, is a Chinese virologist and immunologist. He has served as Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention since 2017 and Dean of the Savaid Medical School of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2015.

Xu Xiangqian was a Chinese Communist military leader and one of the Ten Marshals of the People's Liberation Army. He was the son of a wealthy landowner, but joined Chiang Kai-shek's National Revolutionary Army, against his parents' wishes, in 1924. When the Kuomintang began to fight the Communists in 1927, Xu left Chiang's forces and led a Communist army based in Sichuan under the political authority of Zhang Guotao. After Zhang was purged in the early 1930s, Xu survived politically and rejoined the Red Army, in a less senior position, under the leadership of Mao Zedong.

Geng Yanbo is a Chinese politician who served as the mayor of Datong from 2008 to 2013 and the mayor of Taiyuan from 2013 to 2019.

Robin Li Yanhong is a Chinese software engineer and billionaire internet entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of the search engine Baidu, and one of the richest people in China, with a net worth of US$6.0 billion as of May 2020. He also developed RankDex, the first web search engine with page-ranking and site-scoring algorithms.

Ling Wancheng, also known as Wang Cheng (王诚) and Jason Wang, is a Chinese businessman who once held investments in the communications and entertainment industries. He left for the United States shortly after his brothers Ling Jihua and Ling Zhengce, who are prominent politicians, were placed under investigation as part of the anti-corruption campaign in China under Xi Jinping, current General Secretary of the Communist Party of China.

Deng Pufang is the first son of China's former Paramount leader Deng Xiaoping. He is mostly known for being injured by the Red Guards and becoming a paraplegic. He has since dedicated his life to improving the rights of people with disabilities.

Fu Zuoyi was a Chinese military leader. He began his military career in the service of Yan Xishan, and he was widely praised for his defense of Suiyuan from the Japanese. During the final stages of the Chinese Civil War, Fu surrendered the large and strategic garrison around Beiping to Communist forces. He later served in the government of the People's Republic of China.

Ling Jiefang, better known by his pen name Eryue He, was a Chinese historical fiction writer. He is best known for writing biographical novels of three Qing dynasty emperors, all of which have been adapted into award-winning television series.
