Marianna "Anna" Leszczyńska, was a Polish noblewoman from the Leszczyński family.

Mateusz Chruściński is a Polish figure skater who competed as a single skater and pair skater. He teamed up with Joanna Sulej in 2008 and began competing internationally with her in the 2008-2009 season. They represented Poland at the 2010 Winter Olympics. They were coached by his mother, Iwona Myldarz-Chruścińska. His brother, Radosław Chruściński, is also a competitive skater.

Anita Lobel is a Polish-American illustrator of children's books, including On Market Street, written by her husband Arnold Lobel and a Caldecott Honor Book for illustration, A New Coat for Anna, Alison's Zinnia, and This Quiet Lady. One Lighthouse, One Moon, one of three books she created about her cat, Nini, is a New York Times Best Illustrated Book. Her childhood memoir, No Pretty Pictures, was a finalist for the National Book Award.

Henryk Mikołaj Górecki was a Polish composer of contemporary classical music. According to critic Alex Ross, no recent classical composer has had as much commercial success as Górecki. Górecki became a leading figure of the Polish avant-garde during the post-Stalin cultural thaw. His Webernian-influenced serialist works of the 1950s and 1960s were characterized by adherence to dissonant modernism and drew influence from Luigi Nono, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Krzysztof Penderecki and Kazimierz Serocki. He continued in this direction throughout the 1960s, but by the mid-1970s had changed to a less complex sacred minimalist sound, exemplified by the transitional Symphony No. 2 and the hugely popular Symphony No. 3. This later style developed through several other distinct phases, from such works as his 1979 Beatus Vir, to the 1981 choral hymn Miserere, the 1993 Kleines Requiem für eine Polka and his requiem Good Night.

Hanna Beata Gronkiewicz-Waltz is a Polish politician and lawyer, Professor of Jurisprudence and politician who served as the Mayor of Warsaw between 2006 and 2018. She is the first woman to hold this position.
