Dame Marie Rambert, Mrs Dukes DBE was a Polish-born English dancer and pedagogue who exerted great influence on British ballet, both as a dancer and teacher.

Barbara Krafftówna is a Polish film actress. She has appeared in more than 40 films and television shows since 1953.

Kalina Jędrusik was a Polish singer and actress. She performed in more than thirty films from 1953 to 1991. Jędrusik was married to writer Stanisław Dygat.

Józef Jerzy Kukuczka was a Polish alpine and high-altitude climber. Born in Katowice, his family origin is Silesian Goral. On 18 September 1987, he became the second man, to climb all fourteen eight-thousanders in the world; a feat which took him less than 8 years to accomplish. He is the only person in the world who has climbed two eight-thousanders in one winter. Altogether, he ascended four eight-thousanders in winter, including three as first ascents. Along with Tadeusz Piotrowski, Kukuczka established a new route on K2 in alpine style, which no one has repeated.

Ewa Bożena Kopacz is a Polish politician and a Vice-President of the European Parliament. She was Prime Minister of Poland and Marshal of the Sejm - the first woman to have held the latter post. In addition, she was Minister of Health from November 2007 until November 2011. Kopacz has been a member of the Civic Platform since 2001. Kopacz became Prime Minister on 22 September 2014, succeeding Donald Tusk; she is the second woman to hold the office after Hanna Suchocka. Prior to entering politics, she was a pediatrician and a general practitioner. Her term ended on 16 November 2015.

Albin Małysiak C.M. was a Polish bishop of the Roman Catholic Church. At the time of his death, he was one of the oldest Catholic bishops and the oldest Polish bishop.

Paweł Łukasz Brożek is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a striker. Brozek previously represented various youth squads for Poland. He made his senior team debut in 2005, scored over 30 international appearances and represented his country at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012.
