Liriano was an MLB All-Star in 2006, and is a two-time winner of the MLB Comeback Player of the Year Award.

Yasukazu Hamada is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet. A native of Futtsu and graduate of Senshu University he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1993.
