José Elías Moreno was a Mexican character actor of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema, best-remembered for his versatility in playing different characters. He appeared in 184 films between 1937 and 1969. He was from the state of Jalisco.

René Elizondo Jr. is a Mexican dancer, songwriter and music video director. He was married to American singer Janet Jackson from 1991 to 2000.

María Lorena Ramírez Hernández is an indigenous long-distance runner belonging to the Rarámuri ethnic group, who lives in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. She became known internationally after having won the Cerro Rojo UltraTrail in 2017, an ultra-distance race of 50 kilometers, in a time of 07:20, and for having also done it with huaraches, without shoes or sports equipment. She competes wearing traditional garb, including her trademark long skirt. Despite being a high-performance athlete, she does not receive government sports support. Her example influences Rarámuri children to develop as runners in the heights of the sierra in Chihuahua.

Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon is a Mexican-American composer and chair of the composition department at Eastman School of Music. He received the Helen L. Weiss Music Prize in 1991. His Comala was a finalist for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Music and he was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1995, a Mozart Medal in 1994, and a Lillian Fairchild Award in 2011. He was a student of George Crumb.

Arthur Carlton Cuse is an American screenwriter, producer, and director, best known for the American television series Lost, for which he made the Time list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2010. Cuse is known for his transmedia storytelling, collaborative achievements, and mentorship of many screenwriters who went on to become showrunners of television series.

José Sarukhán Kermez is a plant biologist and ecologist. He is currently the National Coordinator for Mexico’s National Commission for Knowledge and Use of Biodiversity (CONABIO). He received a B.A. from National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1964, a Masters from Postgraduate College (Chapingo), and a Ph.D. (Ecology) from the University of Wales. A known expert in Mexican biology, Sarukhán’s main interests include tropical ecology, plant population ecology, and the systems ecology of both temperate and tropical ecosystems, as well as training and education and has published over 110 research papers and authored and co-authored several books.

Américo Villarreal Anaya is a Mexican cardiologist and politician affiliated with the National Regeneration Movement and the current Governor of Tamaulipas. He is the son of Américo Villarreal Guerra, Governor of Tamaulipas from 1987 to 1993. He previously served as a senator for the state.
