György Gémesi is a Hungarian doctor and politician. He is the current Mayor of Gödöllő since 1990 and the President of New Start Party. Between 1998 and 2006 was Member of the National Parliament of Hungary. He represented the Constituency of Gödöllő, as a Member of the Hungarian Democratic Forum. He is the President of the Alliance of Hungarian Local-Governments.

Evgueni Galperine and Sacha Galperine are Russian-born French film score composers and brothers. They were born in Russia and studied music in Moscow, but moved to Paris, France, in 1990.

Alan Warner is a Scottish novelist who grew up in Connel, near Oban. His notable novels include Morvern Callar and The Sopranos – the latter being the inspiration for the play Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour.

Alice Goodman is an American poet and librettist. She is also an Anglican priest, working in England.
