Aleš Veselý was a Czech sculptor. He was born in Cáslav. From 1952 to 1958, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. At the end of the 1950, he was part of the art movement known as the Czech Abstraction. More recently, he worked on monumental sculptures, often connected with a specific landscape. He sculpted in welded metal, exploring the tension of the masses and the activity of the elementary forces contained in the material.

JuJu Chan Szeto 司徒鈺芸 is a Hong Kong-born American actress, martial artist, model, singer, and writer. She is also a winner in the Miss Chinatown USA 2009 pageant, and has been called the "Female Bruce Lee" by fans and media. She received her master's degree in Film and Television from New York University. Chan is best known for her role as Silver Dart Shi in the latest Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, and her role as Zan in Netflix Series Wu Assassins.

August Belmont Jr. was an American financier. He financed the construction of the original New York City subway (1900–1904) and for many years headed the Interborough Rapid Transit Company, which ran the transit system. He also financed and led the construction of the Cape Cod Canal in Massachusetts, which opened in 1914. Belmont bought the land for and built New York's Belmont Park racetrack—named for his father—and was a major owner/breeder of thoroughbred racehorses. He served as chairman of the board of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad. He also served as a director of the Southern Pacific Co., parent of the railroad, and National Park Bank.

Laura Elizabeth Howe Richards was an American writer. She wrote more than 90 books including biographies, poetry, and several for children. One well-known children's poem is her literary nonsense verse "Eletelephony".
