Maryse Condé is a French novelist, critic, and playwright from the French Overseas department and region of Guadeloupe. Condé is best known for her novel Ségou (1984–85).

Jay Henry Sandrich is an American television director. In 2020, he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame.

José Cid, born on February 4, 1942 in Chamusca, Portugal, is a Portuguese singer and composer. Abroad, Cid is best known for performing "Um grande, grande amor" at the Eurovision Song Contest 1980 and for his progressive rock album 10,000 Anos Depois Entre Vénus e Marte.

Odette Laure was a French actress and cabaret singer. She appeared in 57 films and television shows between 1950 and 2001. She was nominated for the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for Daddy Nostalgia (1990). She was born Odette Yvonne Marie Dhommée in Paris, where she died.

Amin Maalouf is a Lebanese-born French author who has lived in France since 1976. Although his native language is Arabic, he writes in French, and his works have been translated into over 40 languages.

Lubomyr Husar MSU was the major archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, a minority church in Ukraine but the largest sui juris Eastern church in full communion with the Holy See. He was also a Cardinal of the Catholic Church. After the transfer of the see of Lviv to Kyiv in 2005, he was the Ukrainian Catholic Major Archbishop of Kyiv-Galicia. In February 2011 he became Major Archeparch Emeritus after he resigned due to ill health.

Tan Teng-pho, was a Taiwanese painter and politician. In 1926, his oil painting Street of Chiayi was featured in the seventh Imperial Art Exhibition in Japan, which was the first time a Taiwanese artist's work could be displayed at the exhibition. Tan devoted his life to education and creation, and was greatly concerned about the development of humanist culture in Taiwan. He was not only devoted to the improvement of his own painting, but also to the promotion of the aesthetic education of the Taiwanese people. He was killed as a result of the February 28 Incident, a 1947 uprising in Taiwan which was repressed by the Kuomintang (KMT).

Pyo Ji-hoon, better known by his stage name P.O, is a South Korean rapper, singer and actor. He is a member of the boy group Block B and its sub-unit Bastarz.

José Gervasio Viera Rodríguez, also simply known as Gervasio, was an Uruguayan singer who achieved popularity in Chile in 1983, when he won the international competition of the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, with the song "Alma, Corazón y Pan". One of Gervasio's most famous compositions is "Con Una Pala y Un Sombrero", which he wrote in honour of his father, who died of lung cancer.
