Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel
Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel CM is an Ethiopian prelate of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, which he has headed since his election as Ethiopian Catholic Archbishop of Addis Abeba in 1999. He is also the Chancellor of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. He was elevated to the rank of cardinal by Pope Francis in 2015.

Gérard Philippe Berry is a French computer scientist, member of the French Academy of Sciences, French Academy of Technologies, and Academia Europaea. He was the Chief Scientist Officer of Esterel Technologies from 2000 to 2009. He held the 2007-2008 yearly Liliane Bettencourt chair of Technological Innovation at the Collège de France. He is currently Director of Research at INRIA and is holding the 2009-2010 yearly Informatics and Digital Sciences chair at the Collège de France. Berry's work, which spans over more than 30 years, brought important contributions to three main fields:
- lambda calculus and functional programming
- parallel and real-time programming languages
- design automation for synchronous digital circuits

Jacques Fontanille is a French semiotician who is one of the main exponents of the Paris School of Semiotics. He has authored or co-authored ten books and a number of articles or book chapters whose topics span theoretical semiotics, literary semiotics, and semiotics of the visual. A former student and collaborator of the founder of the Paris School of Semiotics, Algirdas Julien Greimas, Fontanille is one of the main continuators of Greimas' research program as he collaborated with him in his last published works, and assisted him in the administering and organizing of the Inter-Semiotic seminar at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. After Greimas' death, the course continued under Fontanille's mantle until it became his own seminar at the Institut Universitaire de France.

Harjono is a former judge of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. He has remained vocal on judicial affairs in Indonesia even after his retirement, expressing support for public humiliation as a punishment for people convicted of graft. In 2016, he also appeared before the Constitutional Court again to testify in favor Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama's case for the right of incumbent politicians to not take leaves of absence during campaign seasons.
