Gilbert De Smet was a Belgian racing cyclist. He rode in four editions of the Tour de France and two of the Vuelta a España.

Jules Jean Vanobbergen was a Belgian singer-songwriter better known as Grand Jojo in French and Lange Jojo in Dutch. Grand Jojo is best known as the co-writer of "Anderlecht Champions ", which later became "Olé, Olé, Olé", and "Chef, un p'tit verre, on a soif".

Eric Walter Elst is a Belgian astronomer at the Royal Observatory of Belgium in Uccle and a prolific discoverer of asteroids. The Minor Planet Center ranks him among the top 10 discoverers of minor planets with thousands of discoveries made at ESO's La Silla Observatory in northern Chile and at the Rozhen Observatory in Bulgaria during 1986–2009.

Òscar Ribas Reig was an Andorran politician, lawyer, and businessman who became the first Prime Minister of Andorra in 1982. He twice served as head of government, first from 8 January 1982 to 21 May 1984 and again from 12 January 1990 to 7 December 1994.
