List of Famous people named Roland

Roland Muzeau was a member of the National Assembly of France. He represented the first constituency of the Hauts-de-Seine department, and is a member of the French Communist Party, which sits in the Assembly with the Democratic and Republican Left.

Roland Fréart, sieur de Chambray was a French writer, collector, and a theorist of architecture and the arts. Though not a practitioner himself, his two major publications, Parallèle de l'architecture antique avec la moderne (1650) and Idée de la perfection de la peinture (1662), appeared at a time when French architects were struggling to apply a new sense of discipline and order to the practice of building.

Roland Anderson was an American movie art director. He received 15 Academy Award nominations but never won an Oscar. Anderson's first Oscar nomination was for his first film in 1933, A Farewell to Arms. A frequent collaborator with Cecil B. DeMille - he worked on Cleopatra (1934), The Buccaneer (1938) and North West Mounted Police (1940) - as well as such other classics as Holiday Inn (1942), Road to Utopia (1946), Son of Paleface (1952) and Will Penny (1967).
