Jan Adriaensens was a Belgian road bicycle racer. He finished twice on the podium of the Tour de France, with a third place in 1956 and in 1960. In both these years, he wore the yellow jersey as the leader of the general classification.

Jan Hendrik Oort was a Dutch astronomer who made significant contributions to the understanding of the Milky Way and who was a pioneer in the field of radio astronomy. His New York Times obituary called him "one of the century's foremost explorers of the universe"; the European Space Agency website describes him as "one of the greatest astronomers of the 20th century" and states that he "revolutionised astronomy through his ground-breaking discoveries." In 1955, Oort's name appeared in Life magazine's list of the 100 most famous living people. He has been described as "putting the Netherlands in the forefront of postwar astronomy."

Jan Rudziński is a Polish badminton player. Rudziński started playing badminton when he was seven at the AZS Warszawa, and a part of the Polish national team in 1998–2004. Rudziński was a champion at the 2017 Iceland International in the men's doubles event with partner Paweł Prądziński.

Ján Valach is a Slovak retired professional road cyclist. He represented his nation Slovakia in two editions of the Olympic Games, and later competed as a member of Dukla Trenčín–Merida professional cycling team before his official retirement in 2010. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI WorldTeam Bora–Hansgrohe.
