Rakhshān Banietemad is an internationally and critically acclaimed Iranian film director and screenwriter who is widely considered a premier female director and her films have been praised at international festivals as well as being popular with Iranian critics and audiences. Her title as "First Lady of Iranian Cinema" is not only a reference to her prominence as a filmmaker, but also connotes her social role of merging politics and family in her work.

Yōichi Sai is a Japanese film director. His mother is Japanese and his father is Zainichi Korean. He is the president of the Directors Guild of Japan.

Katell Quillévéré is a French film director and screenwriter, known for directing the films Love Like Poison (2010) and Suzanne (2013). In 2015 she was selected to be a member of the jury for the International Critics' Week section of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

Pen Densham is a British–Canadian film and television producer, writer, director, author and photographer, known for writing and producing films such as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and television revivals of The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone, as well as writing, producing and directing MGM's Moll Flanders.

Kevin Willmott is an Academy Award Winning American film director and screenwriter, and professor of film at the University of Kansas. He is known for work focusing on black issues including writing and directing Ninth Street, C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America, and Bunker Hill. His The Only Good Indian (2009) was a feature film about Native American children at an Indian boarding school and the forced assimilation that took place. In Jayhawkers (2014), he followed the life of Wilt Chamberlain, Phog Allen and the 1956 Kansas Jayhawks basketball team. Willmott has collaborated with Spike Lee, with whom he shared an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for BlacKkKlansman. The two again collaborated in writing Da 5 Bloods, released worldwide digitally on June 12, 2020.

Tang Guoqiang is a Chinese actor best known for portraying historical figures in several films and television series. Some of his more notable roles include: various Chinese emperors, Zhuge Liang, Yan Zhenqing and Mao Zedong. Tang started his acting career when he first joined a performance troupe in 1970 after graduating from middle school. He made his film debut in 1975 as the male lead in Storm over the South China Sea. He is also a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Society.

Adam Bernstein is an American film director, music video director and television director. For his work on the television show Fargo in 2014, he received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special. In 2007, he won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series for his work on 30 Rock.

Riad Sattouf is a French cartoonist, comic artist, and film director of Franco-Syrian origin. Sattouf is best known for his award-winning graphic memoir pentalogy L'Arabe du futur and for his award-winning film Les Beaux Gosses. He also worked for the satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo for ten years, from 2004 to mid-2014, publishing drawing boards of one of his major works La vie secrète des jeunes.
