Cy Young
Denton True "Cy" Young was an American Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher. Born in Gilmore, Ohio, he worked on his family's farm as a youth before starting his professional baseball career. Young entered the major leagues in 1890 with the National League's Cleveland Spiders and pitched for them until 1898. He was then transferred to the St. Louis Cardinals franchise. In 1901, Young jumped to the American League and played for the Boston Red Sox franchise until 1908, helping them win the 1903 World Series. He finished his career with the Cleveland Naps and Boston Rustlers, retiring in 1911.
Simone Young
Simone Margaret Young AM is an Australian conductor. She has worked with numerous companies in a principal role, including the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera Australia, Hamburg State Opera, Philharmoniker Hamburg, Gulbenkian Orchestra, and the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. In 2022 she is due to become the chief conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Young is also the first female conductor to record the complete Ring Cycle of Richard Wagner, and the complete symphonies of Anton Bruckner.

Henri Young
Henri Theodore Young was a convicted bank robber and murderer who, while serving one of a series of prison terms, attempted a 1939 escape from Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary with four other inmates. During the escape attempt two inmates were shot, and one died of his wounds. All surviving were quickly recaptured. Two of the men, Young and Rufus McCain, received sentences of solitary confinement and served them at Alcatraz for a period of three years. Eleven days after re-entering the Alcatraz general prison population, Young murdered fellow escapee McCain. No apparent motive was ever disclosed. Young's defense put Alcatraz and the penal system on trial, leading to questions about how the prison was run. In 1948, Young was transferred from Alcatraz to the Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Springfield, Missouri. He was later transferred to Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla upon completion of his federal sentence to begin a life sentence for the 1933 murder conviction.

His company Chengeta Wildlife, operates across Africa. Young was killed by jihadists in Burkina Faso, West Africa, along with the Spanish journalist David Beriáin and the documentary filmmaker Roberto Fraile while working on a documentary about his work in Africa.
