Li Boguang was a Chinese legal scholar and human rights activist. In his capacity as the director of the Quimin Research Institute in Beijing, Li supported farmers in seeking compensation for confiscated farmland. He was arrested in 2004 following his involvement in the Tangshan protest, which led to international attention being paid to his plight by human rights groups.

Heloísa Maria Buarque de Hollanda, whose artistic name was Miúcha, was a Brazilian singer and composer.

Robert Mandan was an American actor, best known for his roles as Chester Tate, the womanizing businessman husband of Jessica Tate on the satirical sitcom Soap from 1977–1981 and James Bradford on the short lived Three's Company spin off Three's A Crowd that lasted for one season.

John Vigilante was an American professional ice hockey forward. At the time of his death he was the head coach for the 19u Belle Tire Girls Hockey Program.

Javier Aller Martín was a Spanish film and television actor. Born in Madrid, his career began on 1998, and he participated in various humoristic film and TV series, known by his short stature. He died on 1 May 2018 from diabetes after suffering from two strokes. He participated in films such as The Biggest Robbery Never Told, Miguel y William, Mortadelo & Filemon: The Big Adventure, The Miracle of P. Tinto, His Majesty Minor.

Gladys Mary Wilson, Baroness Wilson of Rievaulx was an English poet and the wife of Harold Wilson, who twice served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The first prime ministerial spouse to become a centenarian, she died at the age of 102 years, 145 days.

Tin Ka Ping, also known as K. P. Tin or Tian Jiabing, was a Hong Kong–Chinese businessman and philanthropist. He was the founder and chairman of Tin’s Chemical Industrial Company and the Tin Ka Ping Foundation.

Shirley Todd Huffman was an American politician and legal secretary in the U.S. state of Oregon. Raised in Dayton, Oregon, she settled in Hillsboro, Oregon, where she served on the city council before serving two terms as mayor from 1985 to 1993. During her time as mayor, plans for the Westside Light Rail were approved, with Huffman receiving credit for the extension into downtown Hillsboro. After leaving office, she served on the board of directors of TriMet and as a development coordinator for the city.

Hamdi Qandil was a prominent Egyptian journalist, news anchor, talk show host and activist. Qandil started his journalism career in the 1950s when he wrote for the Akher Sa'a magazine at the invitation of veteran journalist Mustafa Amin. In 1961 he began broadcasting a news show called Aqwal al-Suhuf until 1969 when he was appointed director of the Arab Broadcasting Studios Union. In 1971 he left his post in protest at a government inspection of his technical staff. He later worked with UNESCO from 1974 to 1986, specializing in the field of international media. In 1987 he co-founded a satellite broadcasting company that later became known as MBC, where he worked for three months before leaving because of political differences with its management. Qandil briefly presented the show Ma'a Hamdi Qandil for ART, but left amid disagreements between him and his managers regarding Qandil's planned interviews with Muammar Gaddafi and Tariq Aziz.

Odvar Nordli(listen) was a Norwegian politician from the Labour Party. He was Prime Minister of Norway from 1976 to 1981 during the Cold War. Before serving as Prime Minister, Nordli served as Minister of Local Government from 1971 to 1972.
