Walter Levin
Walter Levin was the founder, first violinist, and guiding spirit of the LaSalle Quartet, which was known for its championing of contemporary composers, for its recordings of the Second Viennese School, as well as for its intellectually penetrating interpretations of the classical and romantic quartet repertory, in particular the late quartets of Beethoven. Levin was also an important pedagogue, having taught many of the world's leading string quartets, among them the Alban Berg Quartet and the Arditti Quartet; other prominent students include the conductor James Levine, the violinist Christian Tetzlaff and the pianist Stefan Litwin.
René Laurentin
Father René Laurentin was a French theologian. He is widely recognized as "one of the world’s foremost students" of Mariology and is the author of numerous books and scholarly articles on topics including Marian apparitions such as Lourdes and Medjugorje; visionaries and mystics including Bernadette Soubirous, Thérèse de Lisieux, Catherine Labouré, and Yvonne Aimée de Malestroit; as well as biblical exegesis, theology, and Vatican II.
Dave Hilton
John David Hilton was a professional baseball player. He was picked in the 1971 Secondary Draft out of Rice University and played four seasons for the San Diego Padres. He also played three seasons in Japan for the Yakult Swallows and Hanshin Tigers. Hilton was primarily a third baseman, but played several games at second base.

Linda Nochlin was an American art historian, Lila Acheson Wallace Professor Emerita of Modern Art at New York University Institute of Fine Arts, and writer. As a prominent feminist art historian, she became well known for her pioneering 1971 article "Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?" published by ARTnews.

Ana Enriqueta Terán was a Venezuelan poet. She was one of the best-known Venezuelan poets, especially because of her peculiar wordplay. Terán has written in several publications and all her works are compiled in Casa de hablas (1991). She won the National Prize for Literature in 1989.

Josef Augusta was a Czechoslovak ice hockey player and coach, and a silver medalist from the 1976 Winter Olympics. He is the father of former hockey player Patrik Augusta.
