Emilie Lieberherr, was a Swiss politician.

Peter Jaks was a Swiss ice hockey player. He competed at the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics. He committed suicide on 5 October 2011 by standing in front of a train in Bari, Italy.

Ahmed Wali Karzai was a politician in Afghanistan who served as Chairman of the Kandahar Provincial Council from 2005 until his death. He was the younger paternal half-brother of former Afghan President Hamid Karzai and an elder of the Popalzai tribe. Wali Karzai formerly lived in the United States, where he managed a restaurant owned by his family. He returned to Afghanistan following the removal of the Taliban government in late 2001. He has been accused of political corruption and was allegedly on the CIA payroll. He was assassinated by one of his close bodyguards, Sardar Mohammad, on 12 July 2011.

Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Hohenberg was a Luxembourgian princess. She was a daughter of Grand Duchess Charlotte and her husband, Prince Felix of Bourbon-Parma, the sister of Grand Duke Jean and the aunt of Grand Duke Henri. In 1956 she married Franz, Duke of Hohenberg.

Archduchess Ilona of Austria was a member of the Hungarian Palatine branch of the House of Habsburg. She was married and later divorced from the late head of the House of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Georg Alexander, Duke of Mecklenburg.

William Nicholas Stone Courtney was a British actor. He was known for his long-running role as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart in the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who.

Lily Monique de Carvalho Marinho was a Brazilian television arts patron, philanthropist and socialite. Marinho, the widow of media mogul and Rede Globo founder Roberto Marinho, served as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for peace beginning in 1999.

Hugh Denis Charles FitzRoy, 11th Duke of Grafton was the son of Charles FitzRoy, 10th Duke of Grafton, and his first wife Lady Doreen Maria Josepha Sydney Buxton, second daughter of Sydney Buxton, 1st Earl Buxton. He was known from 1936 to 1970 as the Earl of Euston.

Sir Michael Anthony Eardley Dummett was an English academic described as "among the most significant British philosophers of the last century and a leading campaigner for racial tolerance and equality." He was, until 1992, Wykeham Professor of Logic at the University of Oxford. He wrote on the history of analytic philosophy, notably as an interpreter of Frege, and made original contributions particularly in the philosophies of mathematics, logic, language and metaphysics. He was known for his work on truth and meaning and their implications to debates between realism and anti-realism, a term he helped to popularize. He devised the Quota Borda system of proportional voting, based on the Borda count. In mathematical logic, he developed an intermediate logic, already studied by Kurt Gödel: the Gödel–Dummett logic.
