James Cleminson
Sir James Arnold Stacey Cleminson was a prominent British soldier and businessman, was decorated for his service during the Battle of Arnhem after fighting in the North African Campaign and escaping while a prisoner of war in the Italian Campaign during the Second World War. He subsequently became chief executive, and then chairman, of Reckitt & Colman. Active from that period in the Confederation of British Industry, he became its president in 1984.
Géza Herczegh
Géza Herczegh was a Hungarian judge and academic. In 1990, Herczegh was appointed to the Constitutional Court of Hungary. From 1993 to 2003, he was unanimously elected by the United Nations to one of the International Court of Justice, succeeding Manfred Lachs. He filled the remaining year of Lachs' nine year term and was re-elected to a full term in 1994. In 2003, he was succeeded by Peter Tomka. His daughter, Judge Anita Herczegh, is married to János Áder, former President of Hungary. His successor at the ICJ, Tomka, described him as "a dedicated and open-minded judge interested in finding areas of consensus."

John Babcock
John Henry Foster Babcock was, at age 109, the last known surviving veteran of the Canadian military to have served in the First World War and, after the death of Harry Patch, was the conflict's oldest surviving veteran. Babcock first attempted to join the army at the age of fifteen, but was turned down and sent to work in Halifax until he was placed in the Young Soldiers Battalion in August 1917. Babcock was then transferred to the United Kingdom, where he continued his training until the end of the war.
