James Henry Dominic Miller was a Welsh cameraman, producer, and director, and recipient of numerous awards, including five Emmy Awards. He was killed by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) gunfire while filming a documentary in the Gaza Strip.

Itamar Assumpção was a Brazilian songwriter and composer who was born in Tietê, a city in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Assumpção built a strong reputation in the Brazilian independent and alternative music scenes during the 1980s and 1990s, particularly in his home state of São Paulo.

Jean-Sélim Kanaan was a United Nations (UN) diplomat, Egyptian, Italian and French national, who was killed in the Canal Hotel bombing in Baghdad, Iraq, along with Sérgio Vieira de Mello and other members of his staff. Born in Rome, Italy, he was the son of an Egyptian UN diplomat, and he spoke seven languages.

Janine Bazin was a French film and television producer of the French New Wave movement. Alongside André S. Labarthe, she was the co-producer of an hour-long series of programmes called Cineastes de Notre Temps, which was broadcast from 1964 to 1974. From 1980, Bazin was co-producer of the series Cinema De Notre Temps and established the Entrevues Belfort Film Festival. The Janine Bazin Award for Best Performance was named after her.
