Marilyn Buferd was crowned Miss America in 1946 after being crowned Miss California. She appeared in several minor films in the 1950s as well as several foreign language films, including Touchez pas au grisbi opposite Jean Gabin (1954).

José Napoleón Duarte Fuentes was a Salvadoran politician who served as President of El Salvador from June 1, 1984 to June 1, 1989. He was mayor of San Salvador before running for president in 1972. He lost, but the election is widely viewed as fraudulent. Following a counter-coup in 1979, Duarte led the subsequent civil-military Junta from 1980 to 1982. He was then elected president in 1984, defeating ARENA party leader Roberto D'Aubuisson.

Boris Evgenievich Kochno or Kokhno was a Russian poet, dancer and librettist.

Harrison's tenure in Moscow was terminated in 1968, when he was recalled to London after his admission to the Foreign Office that he had an affair with his Russian maid, later revealed as a KGB "honey trap" operation.

Princess Sophie of Hohenberg was the only daughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, both of whom were assassinated at Sarajevo on 28 June 1914. Their assassination triggered the First World War, thus Sophie and her two brothers are sometimes described as the first orphans of the First World War.
