Horst Schumann was an SS-Sturmbannführer (major) and medical doctor who conducted sterilization and castration experiments at Auschwitz and was particularly interested in the mass sterilization of Jews by means of X-rays.

Igor Borisovitch Markevitch was an avant-garde Russian composer and eminent conductor of Ukrainian origin who studied and worked in Paris and became a naturalized Italian and French citizen in 1947 and 1982 respectively. He was commissioned in 1929 for a piano concerto by impresario Serge Diaghilev of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo.

Marjorie Mazia Guthrie was a dancer, dance teacher, and health science activist. She was married to folk musician Woody Guthrie. Her children with him include folk musician Arlo Guthrie and Woody Guthrie Publications president Nora Guthrie.

James Le Jeune RHA was an Irish-Canadian artist who painted portraits, landscapes, and seascapes. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Le Jeune grew up in Dinard in Brittany and later in England. After serving in the British Army in Africa and Italy during World War II, he moved to Ireland in 1950, where he was a regular art exhibitor at the Royal Hibernian Academy until a year before his death.

Henry George Kunkel was an American immunologist, known for his discoveries in basic immunology research, especially his contribution to the development of clinical immunology. He has been referred to as "the father of immunopathology."
