Eric Vogel
Eric T. Vogel was a Czech jazz trumpeter. In 1938, Vogel played trumpet in a dixieland combo. After being arrested at Brno in 1939 he was made to organize a jazz school in the Jewish ghetto of that city. In Theresienstadt concentration camp he played with Martin Roman's Ghetto Swingers and Fritz Weiss's Jazz-Quintet-Weiss. He escaped while being transferred to Dachau concentration camp.

Cevat Yurdakul was a prosecutor and the chief of police of Adana Province, Turkey, when he was assassinated in 1979. Adana Provincial Police Chief of the period was killed as a result of an armed attack prior to the 12 September coup.

He is succeeded as president of Toyota Motors Co by Fukio Nakagawa.

Morteza Motahhari was an Iranian Twelver Shia cleric, philosopher, lecturer. Motahhari is considered to have an important influence on the ideologies of the Islamic Republic, among others. He was a co-founder of Hosseiniye Ershad and the Combatant Clergy Association. He was a disciple of Ruhollah Khomeini during the Shah's reign and formed the Council of the Islamic Revolution at Khomeini's request. He was chairman of the council at the time of his assassination.
