Edward John Noble was an American broadcasting and candy industrialist originally from Gouverneur, New York. He co-founded the Life Savers Corporation in 1913. He founded the American Broadcasting Company when he purchased the Blue Network in 1943 following the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) decree that RCA divest itself of one of its two radio networks.

Arthur Oswald James Hope, 2nd Baron Rankeillour was a British politician, soldier and administrator. He was a Conservative and served as Member of Parliament for Nuneaton from 1924 to 1929 and for Birmingham Aston from 1931 to 1939, after which he was Governor of the Madras Presidency of British India from 1940 to 1946.

Francis Jourdain was a painter, furniture maker, interior designer, maker of ceramics, and other decorative arts, and a left-wing political activist.

Franklin Pangborn was an American comedic character actor famous for playing small but memorable roles with comic flair. He appeared in many Preston Sturges movies as well as the W. C. Fields films International House, The Bank Dick, and Never Give a Sucker an Even Break. For his contributions to motion pictures, Pangborn received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1500 Vine Street on February 8, 1960.

George Robinson (1890–1958) was an American cinematographer. At the beginning of his career he acted in several short films before switching to work behind the camera. He was employed by Vitagraph and later by Universal Pictures.

Georges Baussan was a Haitian architect. He worked in Port au Prince. His most famous work was the design of the National Palace of Haiti in 1917 which won an international competition. He died in 1958 at the age of 82.
