Mariano Fortuny y Madrazo was a Spanish fashion designer who opened his couture house in 1906 and continued until 1946. He was the son of the painter Mariano Fortuny y Marsal.

Stefan Meyer was an Austrian physicist involved in research on radioactivity. He became director of the Institute for Radium Research in Vienna and received the Lieben Prize in 1913 for his research on radium. He was the brother of Hans Leopold Meyer who was also awarded the Lieben Prize.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Charles Bingham Lowther, 4th Baronet, was an British Army officer and English noble in the 19th and 20th centuries. Sir Charles was the grandson of Sir Charles Lowther, 3rd Baronet, of Swillington and succeeded to his baronetcy in 1894.
