Timur Kuashev
Timur Kuashev, was a Kabardino-Balkarian human rights activist with connections to Moscow-based rights organization Memorial and a freelance journalist for the magazine Dosh in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkar Republic within the North Caucasus in Russia, he was found dead 15 kilometers from his home. His death was viewed as suspicious and as of 2017 the investigation is still not closed.
Chinatsu Mori
Chinatsu Mori was a Japanese shot putter. Her personal best throw is 18.22 metres, achieved in April 2004 in Hamamatsu. This is the current Japanese record.

Sita Chan
Sita Chan was a Hong Kong Cantopop singer and actress. She began her career in 2011, and was a singer under the Sun Entertainment label. Teresa Carpio and Tak Bo Lam were her vocal tutors. Sita became a singer in 2011, and subsequently released two CDs and won several awards throughout her career.
Srđan Aleksić
Srđan Radov Aleksić, nicknamed Srđo, was a Bosnian Serb amateur actor, prospective swimmer, and soldier in the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) during the Bosnian War. He saw his neighbour, an ethnic Bosniak, being harassed by a group of VRS soldiers, whom he then tried to stop; the soldiers turned to Aleksić, beating him with their rifle butts until he fell into a coma. He died a week later at the hospital. He has received several posthumous awards for his act, viewed of as deeply heroic in a time of bloody war. A documentary about his life, Srđo, was made by RTS in 2007.

Wouter Weylandt
Wouter Weylandt was a Belgian professional cyclist for UCI ProTeam Quick-Step–Davitamon and later for Leopard Trek. His first major win was the 17th stage of the 2008 Vuelta a España. He also won the third stage of the 2010 Giro d'Italia. He died in a crash during the third stage of the 2011 Giro d'Italia.
